Citation and Bibliographical System
The APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association) has been adopted as the primary citation system. However, due to the nature of the historical discipline, the following rules regarding footnote usage must be observed:
· Footnote Usage: Substantive footnotes must be 9 pt, with a 0.3 hanging indent, 0.3 indentation spacing (in numbering), single line spacing, and a value of 0. Footnotes should primarily be utilized for providing detailed explanations, additional contextual information, or literature comparisons that should not disrupt the flow of the main text. If a reference is required to support an explanation, analysis, or comparison within a footnote, the citation must strictly follow the APA 6 parenthetical format used in the main text.
